The opening ceremony for Hannover Messe 2006 will be held in the evening of 23rd April 2006 in the Congress Center, Hannover City.

4. What is the significance of Partner Country India?
- The primary objectives of “Partner Country India” are :
- To provide a platform for companies, industrial associations and institutions to showcase India as key industrial nation;
To highlight areas for potential investment and economic cooperation ;
- To promote international cooperative ventures , business contacts and economic relations
- To organize matchmaking platforms where companies and institutions with interests in core areas of industry and technology can meet and make contacts.
- The Hannover Messe 2006 is likely to be inaugurated jointly by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India and Her Excellency the Chancellor of Germany followed by presentation of Indian culture and cuisine. This mega event will be attended by Political Leadership, Cabinet Ministers, Top Industrialists, Govt. Officials, Business Delegations and High Competence Companies.
- The India pavilion will be located in Center of the Hannover Fair grounds over 10,000 sq. mtrs. of space making a forceful impact of Indian presence.
- The Indian presentation will include display of high technology products and services, organization of Indo-German Business Summit (to be addressed by political and industrial leadership) and various sector specific seminars for greater B2B interaction.
- Being the partner country, Indian participation will be at the center stage of all marketing efforts undertaken by Hannover Messe Authorities. This would mean Indian participation will be announced to all industry groups to mass media campaign and targeted direct marketing campaigns to be undertaken for promoting exhibitors as well as trade visitors. More importantly, India as partner country will be announced to all visitors through billboards, posters and banners etc. at the fair grounds and roads leading to the fair grounds.
- In order to make an all-round exposure about India, there will be presentation of Indian culture & cuisine on various occasions and events which will be organised on the sidelines of this exhibition.
5. How will India as a partner country be promoted?
The India Brand Equity Foundation (IBEF) will be running a mass media campaign for generating awareness about India’s engineering industry and our participation as a partner country of Hannover Messe 2006.
In addition, EEPC will undertake a targeted direct marketing campaign through direct mailers and e.mails to inform the European Trade and Industry about India’s participation and also inviting them to visit India pavilion and initiate business dialogue with participating Indian companies.

- The Opening Ceremony of the Hannover Messe will also witness presentation of Indian culture and cuisine.
- In order to make an all-round exposure about India, there will be presentation of Indian culture & cusine on various occasions and events which will be organised on the sidelines of this exhibition.
- Moreover, Indian food will be available at the Restaurant within Hall number 6 throughout the duration of the fair.
13. Hotel Accommodation at Hannover
